Why PedPilots?

The aim of the project is to support teachers and institutional innovators through training and methodological materials, so that they can prepare more effectively for international mobility projects and strengthen their self-directed learning processes. The expected results include the development of training materials for mobility projects and methodological resources for innovation, contributing to the professional development of educators and institutional innovation.
Within the PedPilots project, we are developing training and methodological materials specifically for TEACHERS, which support their pedagogical work on multiple levels. The professional support materials under development focus on areas that have so far been absent or only minimally present in Central European education systems, yet cover essential domains that are indispensable for adapting to the rapidly changing educational—and more broadly, social and economic—environment.

WP2 – Training Materials
The training materials to be developed under WP2 support the professional and mental renewal of accompanying teachers who take part in mobility projects involving an increasing number of children and students, both domestically and abroad.
The training will enable them to approach these high-impact projects with confidence and an appropriate level of preparation—even though such projects often come with various difficulties and unforeseen challenges. With this support, teachers will be better equipped to focus on the true innovative content of the projects and to provide professional, emotional, and mental support to the participating students.
As a result, the international activities carried out at the institutional level will become more effective, bring greater satisfaction and success, and generate stronger impact and higher quality overall.

WP3 – Methodological Materials
The methodological support provided in WP3 is aimed at institutional innovators who wish to make their international (or domestic) self-directed learning processes more effective. The concept of self-regulated learning has long been a key methodological approach in Western European education systems—as well as in all areas of economic life. It is introduced to higher education students regardless of their field of study and becomes an integral part of their professional self-development throughout their careers. With our project, we aim to adapt this concept for teachers working within Central European education systems. In doing so, we support their personal and professional growth and contribute to the emergence of both individual and institutional innovation.

Highlights of the project

The workshops planned for February were also held at the Bolyai Secondary Grammar School and Dormitory for Gifted Students in Senta. The participating teachers shared many useful insights and experiences, and the workshops took place in a positive and engaging atmosphere.

The workshops planned for this month were held on February 14 in Szeged and on February 19 in Miercurea Ciuc. Both partners reported that the meetings took place in a positive and active atmosphere.

The main goal of the workshops was to define the methods and topics of the trainings. The workshop organized by the partners in Senta will take place on Friday, after which the partners will summarize their results. Here is a short photo report of the workshops held so far.

A new Erasmus+ project was launched with the first meeting held in Szeged on November 22, 2024.
Presentation of the project
Project Workflow
The professional content development within the project is carried out through two work packages, accompanied by the following activities:
- 4 partner meetings
- 6 co-creation workshops (3 partners × 2 workshops), with the direct involvement of the target group
- 2 pilot training sessions
- Collection of feedback and evaluations, followed by refinement and finalization of the project outputs
- 2 multiplier events in each of the three partner countries, in the form of conferences and/or workshops
Expected Project Results
The project is expected to result in the development of training materials designed to support teachers in preparing for participation in international mobility projects. In addition, methodological resources will be created to assist teachers in strengthening their self-directed learning processes. These materials will be made digitally accessible, ensuring wide availability to professionals in the field of education. The project will also include conferences, workshops, and multiplier events that serve to disseminate and share the results across broader educational communities. As a result of these efforts, teachers will enhance their competencies in engaging with international projects and driving innovation within their institutions.
Objectives
The aim of the project is to support teachers and institutional innovators through training and methodological materials, enabling them to prepare more effectively for international mobility projects and to strengthen their self-directed learning processes. The results include developed training materials for mobility projects and methodological resources for innovation, contributing to the professional development of educators and to institutional innovations.
Introduction of Partners

M-Around Ltd. was established in 2016 when three educational experts decided to leverage their knowledge and experience to involve as many people as possible in lifelong learning. The organization is headquartered in Szeged, Southern Hungary, near the Romanian and Serbian borders, in Hungary's third largest city. M-Around operates in various fields related to human resource development, education, training, and organizational development. Since its inception, we have launched multiple projects focusing on different aspects of education. Currently, we participate in Erasmus+ KA2, KA1, and national projects such as EFOP, GINOP, and VP projects, and employ eight people on a daily basis. M-Around was the contracted coordinator for two projects of the local government of Maroslele (a small village 15 km from Szeged), aiming to improve the quality of human services and to provide services and opportunities for the local population. M-Around is an active initiator of local innovations and involves various organizations in its activities, including local primary education institutions such as schools, kindergartens, nurseries, libraries, senior care centers, sports clubs, youth organizations, private organizations, companies, and the local government of Maroslele. More than 2,000 people participate annually in our educational and community programs. Thanks to a broad international network, M-Around collaborates with partners from the Netherlands, Denmark, France, and Finland, organizing courses and study visits for staff and students. M-Around has extensive experience in European project development and participation. We manage KA1 projects to ensure continuous competence development of employees and participate in and coordinate KA2 projects in school education, vocational training, and adult education sectors alike.

József Attila Primary School in Miercurea Ciuc is a public educational institution. As a state school, its primary goal is to provide high-quality educational services, improve student achievement, and develop their fundamental competencies and skills. In the current school year, our school has a total enrollment of 765 students, supported by 73 teaching and administrative staff members. Beyond the standard teaching and learning programs offered by most Romanian public schools, our school provides alternative step-by-step classes (grades 1–4) as well as an afterschool program for preparatory through 4th grade students. We also operate a talent support program focusing particularly on students in grades 5 through 8. Our institution participates in various programs coordinated by the local government or the Harghita County Council, such as ice skating lessons, swimming instruction, and a small gardening program. We work with students aged between 6 and 15, organizing 4 classes per grade level. Currently, there are 20 classes with a total of 424 students in preparatory through 4th grade, and 16 classes with a total of 317 students in grades 5 through 8. Since 2016, the school has also hosted the Puzzle Educational Center, established for children with autism. At present, 25 autistic students attend our institution: 11 in preparatory through 4th grade and an additional 14 in grades 5 through 10. These students are supported and guided by special education teachers specialized in working with children on the autism spectrum.
